Physical Education at Telford Park School exists to keep pupils healthy and active for life. We want every pupil, not only the fast ones, to leave with a sport or activity they are willing to keep doing after they walk out of the gates.

Skills are taught, demonstrated and practised before any game starts, because a full-sided match asks too much of a technique that is only minutes old. What was taught in September reappears in June, which is how technique survives the summer.

Year 7 builds movement, confidence and motivation. Year 8 works on communication, resilience and emotional intelligence. Year 9 examines sporting values and what real competition means, and Years 10 and 11 turn pupils into leaders and coaches who can run a session for someone else. The fitness matters, but the character built alongside it matters longer.
