Internal Alternative Provision – Curriculum Delivery Lead

Telford Park School is seeking to appoint a committed, resilient and skilled Internal Alternative Provision Curriculum Delivery Lead to join our team.
This is an important role within our internal alternative provision, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs and other significant barriers to learning.
Working closely with the Reach Manager, teaching staff, the SENCo and pastoral teams, you will lead the delivery of a structured and ambitious curriculum that helps students re-engage with education, make measurable progress and successfully return to mainstream learning wherever appropriate.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in English and Maths
- Delivering Functional Skills, ASDAN or equivalent qualifications
- Adapting curriculum content to meet individual SEMH and SEND needs
- Identifying gaps in learning and delivering targeted literacy and numeracy interventions
- Using assessment information to plan support and monitor student progress
- Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
- Using positive behaviour, de-escalation and trauma-informed strategies
- Supporting students to develop resilience, independence and positive attitudes towards learning
- Developing personalised learning and reintegration pathways
- Supporting phased returns to mainstream lessons where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, engagement and academic progress
- Working collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, safeguarding and SEND colleagues
- Supporting staff working within the school’s alternative provision
The successful candidate will maintain high academic expectations while providing the structure, consistency and individual support students need to engage successfully with education.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with students with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Can engage and motivate students who face significant barriers to learning
- Has experience of delivering academic support or targeted interventions
- Can plan and deliver structured and appropriately adapted learning
- Has strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Has good knowledge of English and Maths curriculum expectations
- Is organised and able to maintain accurate records
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
- Has high expectations for every student
- Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people
Applicants should hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above and have relevant experience or a qualification in education. [telfordpar...hool.co.uk]
Experience of alternative provision, Functional Skills, ASDAN qualifications, reintegration work or trauma-informed practice would be beneficial but is not essential.
