Job Role – To provide Pastoral Support for a year group so that students make good progress.
Job Description – We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Pastoral Head of Year to lead the welfare and conduct strategy for a year group of approximately 120–150 students. This role focusses on promoting positive attitudes to learning, safeguarding, and personal development. Responsibilities include implementing school policies, managing the Conduct System, improving attendance and punctuality, and providing in-class behaviour support. You will work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to deliver preventative programmes, support students at risk, and ensure high standards of uniform and conduct. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to student wellbeing are essential.
Contract Type – Permanent
Working Pattern – Full time: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday Term time
Pay Scale – NJC Scale 5 (12 - 16) £28,598 - £30,518 pro rata
